• Lead, coach and motivate the Operations team and Sales team to achieve goals. 
• Plan and explore appropriate route for a shipment, taking account of the perishable or hazardous nature of the goods, cost, transit time and security. 
• Obtain, check and prepare documentation to meet customs and insurance requirements, packing specifications, and compliance with overseas countries’ regulations and fiscal regimes.
• Review pricing strategies and conducted profit margin analysis to maintain competitiveness, negotiating rates contracts with carriers / airlines /vendor/potential clients. 
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities, develop and execute sales plans to meet company objectives and also achieve overall growth for existing and assigned accounts. 
• Oversee the completion, filing and reporting of all required business forms, licenses and other legal documents required in the establishment and conduct of the business entity 
• Build and nurture strong relationships with clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction. 
• Understand clients’ shipping needs and develop tailored solutions, including air and ocean transport options. 
• Regular reporting and updates to ED, MD, Chairman and relevant key stakeholders across the group on all import -export orders/ shipments. 
• Establish and implement departmental policies, and procedures in harmony with Company policies, State and Federal policies, laws and/or regulations. 
• Coordinate with internal operations teams to ensure timely and accurate execution of sales commitments and oversee activities directly related to providing services. 
• Track and analyze sales performance, identifying areas for improvement. 
• Develop internal capability by facilitating employee development and retention of critical resources in collaboration with HR and Top Management 
• Prepare budget and cost targets for the team in collaboration with line manager, Finance and other relevant department and ensure effective and efficient delivery of the targets.

• Master’s Degree preferably in Sales & Marketing/ Supply Chain Management. 
• Minimum 10 years of experience in a senior position in a well-known freight forwarding company. • Must have thorough operational knowledge of custom clearing & forwarding processes, rules and regulations of customs, ports and the government agencies, proper clearing and haulage documentation for imports, inspection agents, banks, shipping companies and terminals etc.
• Familiar with Sea & Air cargo, Import & Export process and procedures, managing customs documentations for clearing and forwarding, NBR, administering import and export procedures and documentation and also familiar with HS Code, duly, AIT etc.

• Excellent interpersonal and business communication skills. 
• Proficiency with Microsoft office applications (especially word, excel, PowerPoint, outlook).
