Job Description

  • Creating seasonal displays and recommending new products based on customer preferences and trends
  • Facilitating meetings between buyers and suppliers in order to discuss new products or services
  • Preparing pricing strategies for retailers based on the latest competitor pricing data
  • Communicating with vendors about pricing changes, order fulfillment status, and other issues that may arise during the ordering process
  • Coordinating with design teams to ensure that products are presented in a way that is appealing to consumers
  • Managing inventory levels by placing orders for new items, returning old items, or discontinuing items that are not selling well
  • Reviewing sales data from previous seasons in order to develop ideas for new products or product improvements that can be marketed to customers
  • Directing warehouse workers on the proper storage of merchandise to prevent damage
  • Developing in-store marketing strategies that increase product awareness and drive sales
